The GAC-NL photography contest is an annual event that aims to celebrate the geological wonders of Newfoundland and Labrador. First launched in 2024, the contest opened with the main rules that pictures be geologically related, and have to be taken in Newfoundland and Labrador, or related to rocks of the province. The pictures can be close-up (including microscope), landscape or aerial type shots. See below for full contest rules:

Contest Rules

•Must be geologically related (if not apparent, explain the relation)

•Taken in Newfoundland and Labrador

•Taken within the year the contest is held

•Photos must be original work, captured and edited by the entrants

•2 photos/submissions per entrant

Email your photos to info.gacnl@gmail.com.  Include your full name, email and telephone number, location where the photos were taken, and brief description of each photo

Note: By submitting photos to the contest, the entrant grants GAC-NL the right to use photos submitted to the contest for promotional and fundraising purposes
